THE NEXT GENERATION TAKES OVER
January is when the spotlight shines on the next generation.
At the the movement ARENA Youth Edition meets BadenBreaks young people actively shape the event. From organisation and social media to hosting and production, 14- to 24-year-olds take responsibility, supported by experienced Movementors. On the dance floor, too, it’s all about the next generation. Kids, Youth, Beginners and up-and-coming crews from Switzerland and neighbouring countries come together for battles, showcases, sessions and plenty of exchange. For families, friends, Breaking fans and everyone who wants to experience Urban Dance live, the Youth Edition is the start of Arena 2027.

newcomer support!
Many young talents are just starting out on their battle journey. That’s exactly why we want to create space for them. In the 1vs1 B-Boy Kids up to age 12 category, the field is split after the preselection. The eight highest-ranked dancers then battle in their own Pro-Am bracket. The next 16 make up the Newcomer bracket and battle for the win. This means better-matched battles, fairer chances and, above all, more battle experience for everyone.
LONGEST MOVES
«Still have energy left?»
Between battles, you can show what you’ve got in the Longest Moves contest. Handstands, windmills, headspins, backspins, handglides and more. The challenges depend on your skills. The contest is hosted by Guinness World Record holder Patrick Grigo. We’ll film your best attempts and document them in the and8.dance breaking record database.
JUDGES’ FEEDBACK
«After the pre-selections, we open up the space for exchange.»
In a group feedback session, you can speak directly with the judges, ask questions and get constructive feedback on your performance. We want to break down barriers and create a space for open, equal exchange. You can take away fresh insights, get your questions answered and grow as a dancer.
SPECTATE
BadenBreaks is an open event and therefore free of charge for all visitors, parents, families and dance enthusiasts. So feel free todrop by anytime and celebrate Hip Hop & Breaking culture in its purest form with us.
